The P. cancerides is one of the true mainstays from the late 70s early 80s tarantula infusion due to their impressive size, ease of care, and their quietly beautiful features of the bronze carapace, reddish abdominal setae, and darker femurs. They also can hit 8″ in legspan. So many positives except…..they are aggressive towards human hands and are willing to chompity chomp. So do yourself and your sausages a favor and handle your Brachypelma albopilosum instead. Most of the time P cancerides come in as raggedy WC imports, but these beauties are CB. I only have a handful, so these will be gone fast. Temps of 72-86 and humidity of 60-80% are fine. Very tolerant of temp and humidity fluctuations, gotta love that!
