Here we have another locality specific Pamphobeteus, the sp Machala. Originating out of Ecuador, this gorgeous beast ends up visually similar to sp platyomma, but the juveniles and subadults are among the most handsome of the Pamphos, as they are purple until they mature. As males, they take that purple, and add pink and a wild starburst pattern on the carapace. Females typically hit about 8″, while males are close to that, but all legs. You can keep them between 75-84 and 75% humidity. They’re not overly defensive, but will flick hairs, and they are quite itchy.
