Here is a representative of a fave genus of mine not only due to how amazing they are, but damn is ezendami ever fun to say! Augacephalus ezendami is a beautiful baboon tarantula that is a golden brown coloration with yellowish-white at the leg joints and an incredible starburst carapace. And that two-tone underside; mercy! They are ridiculously easy to keep as long as they are allowed to burrow. Much like Ceratogyrus though, they don’t seem to be very long lived, with females conking out between 8-10 years. The spiderlings and juveniles do well and grow fast, supporting the crash and burn lifestyle. While not overly defensive, they will bite if pestered too much. They do well at temps of 74-82 with humidity of 50-60%. If kept too dry they dessicate; too wet and they succumb to a fungus among us. Moderation is the key. (We’ve heard that one before!) Love these guys!
