A. musculosa is not a species that immediately jumps out at you with garish colors or an intricate pattern. Rather, like a good Scotch, it allows you to appreciate the subtleties and depth. They’re an all over light black/dark brown with white banding at the leg joints, faint vertical striping and high and tight abdominal setae. Johnny Unitas would be proud. They’re also not aggressive and will reach a healthy 6.5″ with a very stocky body structure. They’re super easy to keep, with temp requirements of 72-84 and humidity of 65%. If you like terrestrial species, you’ll find yourself praising the A. musculosa.
