These little beasties exploded onto the scene a few years ago and firmly entrenched themselves into the vernacular of the tarantula hobbyist. They’re attractive even as wee ones as they display color early, with their striped orange abdomens, golden yellow carapace with black center and orange-brown legs. There are two variations, the large and the small. Large is misleading, as even they only hit 3″. But, this batch of the patch is the small variety, barely hitting 2″.  They grow quickly and are easy to keep. They are also quite nervous and fast, so they’re not recommended for handling. They do well between 75-84 and humidity of 70%.
