Here we have another species with quite the taxonomic history. It was first classified as Vitalius vulpinus, later Nhandu vulpinus and finally (as of time of writing) Nhandu tripepii. By any name, this is a heavily bodied and large member of the Nhandu clan, boasting a 7″ legspan and I hate you all attitude. Defensive, no. Angry, oh yeaaahhhh….They will threat display and charge whatever enters their enclosure after first scuffing off waves of brutally itchy urticating hair. Why keep them? Well, they are a gorgeous strawberry blonde and are easy to keep needing only 72-86 with 65% humidity, and there you have it!
