Here’s where it all started for me back in 2001, the first tarantula I bred, the P. irminia. And until I recently resumed operations, it was also the last species I bred in 2010. Funny how that all works out. This species is a panther, it’s jet black, it stalks its prey, and it’s afraid of no one. (And yes, I used the correct grammar in the previous sentence. Thanks for asking.) It also has gorgeous orange colored curved swooshes on the tarsi and golden highlights on the abdomen. They typically reach 5.5″ and like temps between 74-84 with humidity of 70% with a piece of cork bark that it can anchor its webbed retreat onto. They will readily bite, and their threat display is pretty scary yet funny. We have two separate bloodlines both produced here at Krazy 8’s.
