The I. mira is one of the most visually stunning of all the Baboons. You take a Harpactira with its flecked abdomen, intense starburst carapace, and golden-orange everything, but then you add blue metatarsi and tarsi, and you have Idiothele mira. This South African species appreciates cooler temps 72-78 with not too much humidity 65%. They must be allowed to burrow to thrive. They’re not overly defensive, but you do risk a painful bite if you try to mess about. I’ve become a huge fan of these; you will as well. This batch was produced here in the States by Joe Rossi.
